Okay, I'm in the middle of writing things and looking for work and blahblahblah, but I STILL have more free time than I did before, so I'd like to get some reading done. And since I've been watching Guin Saga, I'm really, really craving some epic, sprawling fantasy now.

(No, I have not read A Song of Ice and Fire, and, alas, it is currently checked out of the library.)

So rec me some good old-fashioned epic fantasy, because - I admit this shamefully - I have not actually read that much. Errr, please leave off any recs involving racefaily people. Yes, I am limiting myself, but then again, LIFE IS SHORT, guys.

Alternately, please rec me some awesome baseball fiction? (I can't help it: I'm watching Major and Cross Game AND Taishou Yakyuu Musume. My weakness for sports anime, let me show you it.) I'm a little iffy on this, though, because I generally do not read much sports in my prose unless it involves horses running very fast. So, really, I guess what I want to read right now is Peter S. Beagle's baseball book that he hasn't written yet. *sobsob*

Crap, or I guess I could finally watch season two of Kyou Kara Maou since there is fantasy nonsense and baseball (probably) but that's really not what I'm going for ATM, guys.

Okay, OR something with gangsters would be good too. (*sob* It will count as research. Also cannot stop playing Mafia Wars on Facebook. DDDD:)

But, really, the fantasy recs are most important.

And now I'm going fooding so I will be back to check this post later and it will hopefully have comments. (Yes, because I have not eaten I am at the stage before cranky which is apparently REALLY HYPER, WTF.)
